Finlay is an entrepreneur, advisor and an experienced business coach. He has an excellent reputation for helping prepare businesses to attract the right investors and investment. Finlay set up his first business in the ski industry in 1996 after spotting an opportunity in the short break and weekend niche. Adding this very practical learning to his business school training, he has continued to develop his ability to advise at a strategic or granular tactical level. Finlay is a Director in Frejz, a brand strategy consultancy, working across the private, public, third and academic sectors. Frejz is based in Glasgow but operates internationally.

After developing his own businesses in the travel sector he co-founded Frejz to help other enterprises grow and prosper. He particularly likes bringing the lessons from large, successful brands to smaller organisations with big visions.

He would rather be skiing with his family or riding his bike for some peace and thinking time.

With 25+ years commercial experience since graduating from Stirling University, (Business Studies with French) Finlay has vast business knowledge and proven results. He has worked in the public and private sectors, been employed and an employer, led teams and worked in teams, coached and been coached. He is a strategic thinker with practical skills and the management ability to deliver. With a passion for ‘good to great’ journeys he would like to travel with you on your journey.

Finlay has been coaching businesses to raise angel investment since 2012. As an entrepreneur of 25 years standing, qualified coach and investor he helps businesses to attract the right investment. He strongly believes that angel investing is one of the best ways to help build successful, sustainable businesses. He is nurturing a group of like-minded investors who seek coachable entrepreneurs with the capacity, capabilities and commitment to succeed.
